The Sports Inquirer spoke with Georgia Tech volleyball player Mariana Brambilla before her team’s practice on Sept. 4 for an exclusive interview. The Yellow Jackets won the Hyatt Regency Tournament with a 3-1 home win over Tulane on Aug. 31 with Brambilla having a team-high 16 kills. She also had her fifth double-double of the season with a career-high 19 kills and 18 digs in Georgia Tech’s 3-2 win over South Alabama earlier that day. Brambilla was named the event’s MVP and the ACC Freshman of the Week.
