Quick predictions for Week Two of the NFL Season (home team in CAPS)

NEW ORLEANS (-6.5) Chicago:  The Saints are good enough to win by a touchdown over the Bears, who aren’t as good as they looked in week one against the Falcons.

DETROIT (-8) Kansas City:  I think the Lions are as good as they looked against the Bucs and the Chiefs are just as bad as expected especially with the loss of Eric Berry for the year.

Jacksonville (+9) NY JETS:  That’s too many points to lay for the Jets, even at home.

BUFFALO (-4) Oakland:  Betting on a west coast team having to travel across the country on a short week being weakened against a rested home team, even if its Buffalo.

WASHINGTON (-3.5) Arizona:  Similar to my last pick minus the short week angle.

PITTSBURGH (-14) Seattle:  See above…

TENNESSEE (+6) Baltimore: This has a final score of 20-17 written all over it…

Green Bay (-10) CAROLINA: The Packer’s defense isn’t Arizona…

MINNESOTA (-2.5) Tampa:  This game looks like a 170 yard and two touchdown effort from Adrian Peterson type of contest…

INDIANAPOLIS (+2) Cleveland:  The Colts are going to be bad this year but should still not be an underdog at home to Cleveland.

Dallas (-3) SAN FRANCISCO:  This used to be appointment TV 15 years ago…

Houston (-3) MIAMI:  The Dolphins have lost eight of their last nine home games

San Diego (+7) NEW ENGLAND:  The Patriots aren’t as good as they looked against Miami last week and the Chargers are better than they looked against the Vikings.

DENVER (-3.5) Cincinnati:  It’s the Bengals on the road…

Philadelphia (-2.5) ATLANTA:  The Eagles are better than Atlanta, simple as that.

NY GIANTS (-6.5) St. Louis:  The Rams are too banged up to get a win at the Giants this week.
