ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia soccer team will get the 2014 season underway when it opens preseason camp on Wed., Aug. 6 at the Turner Soccer Complex, training for the first time as a team with the coaches present. Wednesday’s agenda includes a morning and evening practice session.

Camp will continue throughout the week leading up to Sunday’s exhibition scrimmage on the road at border rival Clemson at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs will play a second exhibition game next Sat., Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. vs. Auburn at the UGA Soccer Stadium – open to the public with free admission.

Georgia officially opens the 2014 campaign on the road at Ole Miss on Fri., Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. ET, set to air on the brand new SEC Network. The contest vs. the Rebels will serve as the inaugural in-season live event to run across all sports on the network.

Georgia is aiming for its fifth NCAA Tournament bid in the last eight seasons and ninth overall. The Bulldogs are coming off a 12-7-1 (5-5-1) campaign last season and a trip to the SEC Championships quarterfinal round.
