After a 38-19 season-opening win over Wofford, Georgia Tech returns to action this Saturday in a road contest against Tulane at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans. The former Former SIAA, Southern Conference and SEC rivals will face each other on the gridiron for the first time in 32 years.

Georgia Tech and Tulane will meet for the 49th time, with the Yellow Jackets leading the all-time series 35-13 (and 15-9 in New Orleans). Saturday will also be the first time a Yellow Jackets team has played the Green Wave on Tulane’s campus since 1973 (at old Tulane Stadium).

WHAT OPTION?
In their season-opening win vs. Wofford, the Yellow Jackets recorded more passing yards (282) than rushing yards (226). In the Paul Johnson era, Georgia Tech is 5-2 when the Yellow Jackets have racked up more passing yards than rushing yards.

TELEVISION HISTORY

Georgia Tech played its first televised football game on Oct. 2, 1948 – a 13-7 home win…against Tulane. The game was televised on WSB. Georgia Tech and Tulane have played only one other time on TV – a 27-7 Jackets win in 1974 on ABC.

SCORING STREAK
Georgia Tech has played 212 consecutive games without being shut out – the eighth-longest active streak in the nation. The last time the Yellow Jackets were blanked came Oct. 18, 1997 – a 38-0 loss at No. 3 Florida State.

Georgia Tech hasn’t been shut out at home since Nov. 30, 1957 – a streak of 353 consecutive home games at Body Dodd Stadium.
