The Kennesaw State soccer team wraps up tournament play this weekend with a trip to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the Blue Raider Classic, hosted by Middle Tennessee on Sept. 5-7. The Owls are set to face Austin Peay on Friday (Sept. 5) at 5 p.m. ET, before taking on South Florida on Sunday (Sept. 7) at 2 p.m.

Friday’s meeting between the Owls and APSU will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs, while USF holds a 1-0-0 record against KSU after registering a 2-0 win over the Owls on Sept. 9, 2012 at the College of Charleston Cup in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Kennesaw State earned its first win of the 2014 season with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over South Alabama on Sunday at the Troy Trojan Classic. Sophomore Maggie Gaughan scored both goals on Sunday for her second two-goal match of her career. KSU opened the tournament with a 1-0 setback to host Troy on Friday.

Head coach Rob King is just two wins away from his 200th head coaching win as the veteran coach owns a 198-113-22 record in 19 seasons of coaching. At Kennesaw State, King owns a 155-61-18 record after earning the program’s 150th win against Northern Kentucky on Sept. 29, 2012.

With the 2-1 win over USA on Sunday, Kennesaw State registered its 100th Division I win in program history. The program is currently in its 10th season at the Division I level and owns a 100-56-16 mark in that period. The Owls have an all-time program record of 155-61-18 in 13 seasons.
