Kennesaw State’s Katarina Morton named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week

KENNESAW, Ga. – Freshman libero Katarina Morton won her first Atlantic Sun Weekly Award as she took home the Defensive Player of the Week honor, the league announced Monday, October 27.

Morton helped lead the Owls back from a 2-1 deficit against USC Upstate with 26 digs, which was a conference match high for the weekend. In the past four matches, she has posted at least 23 digs in three out of four matches. Offensively, she added six assists.

Coming into the weekend, Morton was top four in the A-Sun in digs and digs per set.
