Release from Georgia Tech Athletics:

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets moved up one spot in both the AP and Amway USA TODAY Coaches polls released Sunday. Georgia Tech (9-2) is now ranked 15th in the Coaches poll and 16th in the AP Top 25.

Georgia Tech, who is ranked for the fourth straight week, is the second-highest ranked ACC team in both polls (behind only Florida State). While Tech completed its second open date of the season last week, the Jackets clinched their fourth ACC Coastal Division title. Georgia Tech will play No. 3 Florida State in the 2014 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game on Dec. 6 in Charlotte.

Georgia Tech concludes its regular-season schedule Nov. 29 when the Jackets travel to Athens, Ga., to face No. 8 Georgia. Kickoff is set for noon ET on the SEC Network. When the Jackets and Bulldogs take the field, it’ll be the 109th meeting of “Clean, Old Fashioned Hate” – the nation’s 19th-most frequently played series among FBS schools.
