Georgia State bolstered its football roster with the addition of seven junior college signees Wednesday, the first day of the mid-year junior college signing period. The Panthers have added four linemen, two linebackers and one running back who are expected to enroll at Georgia State in January and participate in spring practice.

On the defensive side of the ball, Georgia State has added defensive linemen DeQueszman Kelley (Coffeyville CC) and Julien Laurent (New Mexico Military Institute) as well as linebackers Kelvin Rainey (Iowa Western CC) and Kaleb Ringer (Butler CC). On offense, running back Kendrick Dorn (San Bernardino Valley College) and linemen Dom Roldan (Grossmont College) and Tyler Simonsen (San Bernardino Valley College) will bring their talents to GSU.

Also joining the program for the spring semester are a trio of freshmen in linebacker Ed Curney, tight end Ari Werts and offensive lineman Lucas Johnson. Those three originally signed with Georgia State last February but delayed their enrollment.

“We are very excited about the new members of our Panther Family,” head coach Trent Miles said. “Our coaching staff did a great job identifying young men who are good fits for Georgia State. All of them can make an impact, and we look forward to working with them this spring.”
