Kennesaw State junior outfielder Alex Liquori was named a second team preseason All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), the organization announced on Tuesday (Feb. 3).

Liquori’s All-American selection marks the second straight year the Owls have had a player named a preseason All-American, joining Max Pentecost who was honored by the Sporting News last year.  He was named to the A-Sun Conference preseason all-conference team on Jan. 28.

The Kennesaw State junior returns as the Owls’ leading hitter in 2015 after playing in 51 games and producing a .354 average with 13 doubles, a team-leading five triples, one home run, 42 RBI and 37 runs scored in 2014.  Liquori batted .394 with seven doubles, four triples and 14 RBI in A-Sun Conference play en route to earning second team all-conference honors.
