Release from Kennesaw State Athletics:

Following a dominating performance against USC Upstate, junior Jasmine McAllister collected her fifth Atlantic Sun Conference Newcomer of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Feb. 9).

“I was very impressed with how Jasmine bounced back after a disappointing loss the week before,” said head coach Nitra Perry. “I challenged her and she responded. We need her to finish the conference strong.”

McAllister led the Owls to a dominating 67-55 win over USC Upstate on Saturday as KSU earned its 15th win of the season, making it the first time since the 2008-09 season that KSU has reached that mark.

The Memphis, Tenn., native registered her league-leading 12th double-double of the season with 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting and a career-high 19 rebounds, including eight boards on the offensive end.

For the season, she ranks second in the conference with 11.0 rebounds per game, fourth in scoring with 14.1 points per contest and third with a 50.0 field goal percentage from the floor.
