Georgia State will make its third appearance in the NCAA tournament beginning on Thursday as a No. 14 seed facing No. 3 seed Baylor in a West Region second round contest at the Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla.

Georgia State (24-9) is making its first appearance in the ‘Big Dance’ since 2001 when the Panthers, a No. 11 seed, upset No. 6 Wisconsin, 50-49 in the first round. The Panthers captured the Sun Belt tournament title on Sunday afternoon following its second-straight regular season title.

Georgia State will be facing Baylor (24-9) for the first time in program history. Game times will be announced later on Sunday night.
