Release from Kennesaw State Athletics:
After a stellar 15-save performance against LIU Brooklyn, Allison Senft was named Atlantic Sun Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday, March 17.
“Alli has been solid in the cage for us and has put in a lot of work for us this season,” head coach Kristina Llanes said. “It’s exciting for her to gain recognition after a great team win.”
The 15 saves was a new career high for Senft, and the final one came with time winding down to help the Owls hold on for a one-goal victory.
Trailing 9-7, Senft and the defense held the Blackbirds to one more goal allowing KSU to close the game on a 4-1 run to complete the victory.
She also picked up four ground balls.
