We spoke with Florida State softball senior pitcher Lacey Waldrop following her team’s 8-1 road win over Georgia Tech in Atlanta on April 26. For the season, Waldrop leads the ACC in wins (25) and is second in strikeouts (207), earned run average (1.31) and batting average allowed (.158). Topics included the Seminoles clinching the ACC regular season title, her nomination for numerous Player of the Year national awards, the team’s pitching staff and how far the team can go in the NCAA Tournament.
