The Sports Inquirer caught up with Georgia Tech volleyball player Ashley Askin before her team’s pracgtice on Sept. 1. The sophomore outside hitter set career highs in both kills (11) and aces (4), and tallied her first career double-double (11 kills, 10 digs in the Yellow Jackets’ 3-0 home win against The Citadel on Aug. 29.
Topics included her performance against The Citadel, the team’s overall performance so far, coming to Georgia Tech from are native Kentucky and handling being an athletic with diabetes.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action on Thursday against Mercer in Athens as part of the Georgia Challenge.
