Freshman volleyball player Sydni Shelton has been named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday, September 28.
Shelton had her best performance in an Owl uniform on Saturday against USC Upstate in the A-Sun opener. She finished with a career high 23 kills on 61 attacks hitting .377. Shelton made zero attacking errors against the Spartans. It is the second time this season that she has had at least 17 kills with zero errors.
It is Shelton’s first Player of the Week award and her second Freshman of the Week award.
