The Sports Inquirer attended the post-practice presser of Georgia Tech baseball player Matthew Gorst on May 30. The Yellow Jackets earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and slotted into the Gainesville Regional with Florida, Bethune-Cookman and host University of Florida. Georgia Tech opens against the Huskies on Friday.
Gorst, a junior from Alpharetta, 0.41 ERA is Tech’s new single-season record holder in ERA (previous mark of 1.07 by Mike Sorrow, 1971)
Topics included thoughts on the contest, the Yellow Jackets earning a postseason spot and traveling to Gainesville.
