The Sports Inquirer attended the post-game presser of Atlanta Dream guard Layshia Clarendon after the team’s 89-83 home win over the Seattle Storm on Aug. 23. She scored 17 points and had a game-high 14 assists for a double-double. The 14 assists are an Atlanta Dream franchise record for assists in a single game. now has 220 assists on the season. Clarendon needs 17 assists over the final three games of the season to break Ticha Penicheiro’s single-season WNBA record of 236 assists.
