The Sports Inquirer spoke with Georgia Tech volleyball player Mikaila Dowd before her team’s practice on Sept. 19 for an exclusive interview. The freshman outside hitter had a team-high 13 kills in the Yellow Jackets’ 3-2 home win over Georgia on Sept. 14. She also had 17 kills and 11 digs in the team’s 3-1 home win over Arkansas on Sept.15.

Topics with the Illinois native included the Georgia win, adjusting to the college game, committing to Georgia Tech and preparing for ACC play. Georgia Tech opens ACC play at Syracuse on Sept. 21.
