The Sports Inquirer spoke with Georgia Tech volleyball player Mikaila Dowd before her team’s practice on Oct. 16. The freshman outside hitter had a career-high two solo blocks and posted her sixth double-double of the season with 20 kills and 12 digs in the Yellow Jackets’ 3-1 road win at Duke on Oct. 14. Topics included the Duke win, being a two-way player on the back line of the rotation and adjusting to ACC competition. Georgia Tech visits Florida State on Oct. 19 and Miami on Oct. 21.
