The Sports Inquirer spoke with Georgia State men’s soccer head coach Brett Surrency Nov. 20 ahead of the team’s second round match at national seed Georgetown in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Nov. 21. The Panthers won their first NCAA Tournament match in program history Nov. 18 on a 1-0 victory at Charlotte. Topics included the victory, the lone goal of the match coming from George Proctor on a pass from Ross Finnie during a set piece, the reception of the victory by the Georgia State community, enjoying the sights at Washington, D.C. and preparing to face Georgetown.
