Topics included the Owls’ 4-1 start to the season, using serving particularly aces as an offensive weapon led by outside hitter Caroline Chastang, the emergence of opposite Haley Patterson, versatility and development of outside hitter Manu Johnsen, using two setters, Kaeley Walz and Kourtney Brown, in the 6-2 formation, using 13 players in the team’s 3-0 home win over South Carolina State September 7 and preparing to host Big Ten opponent Michigan State in the Kennesaw State Invitational September 11.
