FALCONS RE-SIGN BLIDI WREH-WILSON

atlanta falconsRelease from the Atlanta Falcons:

The Falcons have announced that they have re-signed cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson. The Falcons have now re-signed or extended seven players from the 2016 team, including cornerback Robert Alford and tackle Ryan Schraeder.

“Blidi is a guy we had come in last year so we got a good evaluation on him during practices,” General Manager Thomas Dimitroff stated. “We like his length and the way he competes, and feel he will continue to add depth to our secondary.”

The Falcons signed Wreh-Wilson last season to add more depth at the cornerback position when Desmond Trufant went down with a season ending shoulder injury. Wreh-Wilson was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the third round of the 2013 draft out of Connecticut. During his four-year career, Wreh-Wilson has played in 35 games with 14 starts and has recorded 87 total tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble.
