The Sports Inquirer spoke with Georgia State football head coach Shawn Elliott following the team’s practice on Oct. 9. In the Panthers’ 52-38 Sun Belt Conference home win over Arkansas State on Oct. 5, the team rushed for a school-record 340 yards along with a school-record six rushing touchdowns, while combining for 722 total yards, which is also a school record. The Panthers tied the Sun Belt Conference record with 39 first downs.
