The Sports Inquirer attended the presser of Atlanta United manager Frank de Boer following his team’s 2-0 home win over the Philadelphia Union in the Eastern Conference semifinals of the MLS Cup Playoffs on Oct. 24.
Topics included the victory, Atlanta using a four-man back line which included Mikey Ambrose and Florentin Pogba, starting Pity Martinez alongside Josef Martinez and Ezequiel Barco, the defensive strategy in the second half, an injury update on Michael Parkhurst and Miles Robinson as well as preparing to host Toronto in the Eastern Conference finals on Oct. 30.
