The Sports Inquirer attended the post-game presser of Georgia State head coach Shawn Elliott following the team’s 28-15 home win over South Alabama in Sun Belt action on Nov. 23. It was the seventh win in the season for the Panthers which ties the school record for most victories in a season.
Topics included the victory, the Panthers committing only three penalties and not fumbling the ball in rainy conditions, running Tra Barnett rushing for more than 2,000 career yards, quarterback Dan Ellington moving on the field with a torn ACL on run plays and the contributions of the senior class.
