The Sports Inquirer spoke with Georgia State basketball player Jalen Thomas for an exclusive interview Feb. 22. The sophomore post player from Detroit had a career-high scored 16 points, going 6-of-7 from the floor and 4-of-4 from the free throw line along with grabbing five rebounds in the Panthers’ 65-53 home win over Troy Feb. 20. Topics included his career night, Georgia State winning its past two games, Thomas’ improvement and physical training throughout the season, growing up in his family which includes a CIAA college basketball Hall of Famer and thoughts on his hometown Detroit Lions trading away quarterback Matt Stafford. The Panthers return to action Feb. 23 at home against Sun Belt opponent Appalachian State.
